Latin 3v3 Signup

Charlotte Latin is hosting their annual 3v3 tournament on Saturday November 21.  The youth portion typically runs in the morning, ending by 1pm.  The cost is free.  We plan to send as many teams as we have interested players.

Halloween 5v5 Recap

We had two teams play in the Charlotte Ultimate Youth Halloween 5v5 on Saturday.  Charlotte Ultimate posted a recap with all results here and photos here.  Great work by all the kids and coaches this weekend.  And some wonderful costumes.

Halloween 5v5 Tourney

Charlotte Ultimate is hosting the first (maybe annual) Halloween 5v5 youth tournament Saturday October 31.  A great time for returning players to stretch out their legs in the fall and for new players to get some fun game action.  And costumes.  We will have as many teams as we have interested players.

When?  October 31 from 9:30-2:30

Schedule?  There will be 5 rounds, with each team playing 4 or 5 games

Attire?  It is Halloween so costumes are highly encouraged.  A team theme is even better.  There may be prizes for the team with the best costume.

Girls Clinic 9/26 and Middle School Clinic 10/3

Charlotte Ultimate is hosting a girls clinic from 10am-1pm on September 26th in conjunction with GUM (Girls Ultimate Movement).  It is open to all middle school and high school aged girls.  Invite your friends!  You can find more information and registration here.

Fall Practices Starting 9/1

Its that time of year again.  School's back in session which means Myers Park ultimate practices.  Practices are on Tuesdays from 6-8pm at Charlotte Secondary School similar to last year. 

Summer League!

Charlotte Ultimate is running a youth summer league this year.  All MPHS players are highly encouraged to sign up.  A few quick details:


Thursdays from 5:45-7:45 for 8 weeks from 6/25 to 8/13.  All games will be at the Rugby Athletic Center.


Registration fee is $50 and includes 8 weeks of games, a disc, and a jersey.

States!

The North Carolina High School State Tournament is May 16th-17th in Apex, NC.  The trip will likely entail driving early Saturday morning, staying Saturday night, and returning Sunday afternoon.  The cost will be around $20 for the tournament fee plus whatever hotel and gas works out to be.  Additionally, a USAU membership is required.  Anyone who played in a tournament in 2015 should already a current membership. Check out the FAQs if you have any questions around what to bring or how to get a membership.

First Game!

The spring season officially starts this Thursday with a game against Charlotte Christian.  Game time is 6pm (players are expected to be there at least 30 minutes early) at Charlotte Secondary.

Player Registration

Player registration is now live.  The registration can be completed here.  Each kid will need to be registered to play this year.

QCTU Sunday

Queen City Tune Up

Myers Park Mustangs Ultimate will be playing at the Queen City Tune Up the weekend of February 7th and 8th.  This is a huge competitive tournament with College Men, College Women, and Youth divisions.  We would love friends and family to come watch!  Details below:

- Location: Games held at the Ramblewood field complex (link on the locations page)

- When: There will likely be 3 games on Saturday and 2-3 games on Sunday.  Depending on byes, players should expect to be ready to go at 8am and done by 5pm.

- Cost: $30 per player for the weekend ($15 if you can only make one day)

All players must have a current USAU membership and be confirmed on the team on the site.  Memberships are good for the entire calendar year and are generally required at most tournaments.  Check out the FAQ section for how to get a membership.  Each player needs a membership, completed waiver, and then must confirm participation.

Please make sure a coach knows if you plan to attend.

Queen City Tune Up Feb 7/8

We are planning to send a team to the high school division of Queen City Tune Up in Charlotte February 7th and 8th.   Each player will need to have a USAU membership (details for how to do this can be found in the FAQ section).  The event will include around 6 games over the two days.  More details on schedule, cost, etc. will be announced closer to the date.
