About MP Ultimate

The Myers Park Ultimate team is the official ultimate team of Myers Park High School.

Mission
The Myers Park Ultimate team seeks to provide a fun, competitive atmosphere for high school girls and boys.  Players learn the skills necessary for the game of ultimate, including the Spirit of the Game.

Currently, the largest goal of the club is to make the team more readily available and known to students, growing the size of the team in the process.

History
For many years the team existed as a group of students who played pickup and/or disc golf on Fridays.  In the fall of 2012, the club, diminished due to graduation, started working with Ms. Bullard, a MPHS teacher.  With her help, the team joined the inaugural Charlotte High School Ultimate league in 2012.  After a great start to the 2013 season, Ms. Bullard stepped away from the program for personal reasons and brought in local players Eric Olson and Miller Yoho to help coach the team.  2013 marked the team's first trip to the NC State tournament with a 13th place finish.
